The windmill has been a lovely break after the Christmas rush. We were delighted as to how snug it was when we arrived and once we got the wood fire burning we pulled up the easy chairs and settled down with our books. Needless to say a glass of red wine was nearby....especially on New Years Eve where we loved celebrating away from the hords.

We have told family and friends about the "Moulin" and everyone liked the sound of such an original place to stay. I'm sure we will be back.

Thank you for our stay in the windmill, we thought it was really brill. It was relaxing and quite calm, we enjoyed living next to the farm. We only stayed a few days, it went by so fast, it's just a haze...... We enjoyed sitting outside and drinking red wine, even though it was Feb the weather was fine. It was a great place to stay for a mini break, so many memories we did make. It's certainly a place we would tell others about and come back and stay again without a doubt.

What a fabulous place for a wedding anniversay! As said before, by many, the windmill is wonderful - so well restored, in such a peaceful location and yet ideally located for visiting the local area.

All in all we have had a wonderful week - it was a surprise trip for my husband and from the moment his face lit up at the first glimpse of the windmill, our smiles have been firmly fixed.

We have been blessed with glorious weather and have loved sitting outside with a bottle of wine, watching the sun go down. There is nothing more relaxing.

Enchanted with your windmill!

They say that great things come in small packages and here is the proof. Also, so very well equipped - you seem to have thought of everything.

We have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday....

P.S - If you are BBQ virgins, like us, give it a go - it's surprisingly easy!!

We have had a wonderful time! We wanted peace and quiet for a week and have certainly got it.

The restauration work on the windmill is wonderful and we loved staying in such an atmospheric place. Everything works so well; the bed is comfortable, the shower is powerful and there is always hot water, and the kitchen is just what you need.

We spent a lot of time on the BBQ and the views from the garden are stunning...

We love the windmill!!

This has been a hugely relaxing week in the perfect location. Vouvant is lovely and we recommend a drive out to La Rochelle - well worth it!

Other than that, we've simply loved spending time here at the moulin. We're so pleased we have found the moulin and would happily come back for more of it's unique charm, peace and quiet.

A beautifully restored windmill! You can tell the love and care that went into renovating this historic place............................We had a great week - the perfect escape from city life. Congratulations on a great restoration job.

Thanks again for an amazingly well equipped gite, with lovely rooms. The bedroom is by far the nicest we've ever stayed in, in a gite.

Thank you for a wonderful time in a magical place. Having arrived at 2am from Paris it was bliss to wake up to silence and a tranquil view.

Daytrips to La Rochelle, Vouvant and Mervent were very enjoyable, but it's the degree of care that has gone into the detail at the Windmill that really made the holiday. The stove, the games, the basket of logs, those canny light switches all add to the experience.......

The Windmill is, without a doubt, lovely and we have enjoyed our stay here very much. As my Mother would say, "It's very well appointed"!.............

We have been greatly blessed by the weather and so have spent many happy hours sitting in the BBQ area watching the sun go down (with the odd glass of wine, of course!) ..........

If you want to escape the rat race but still have access to the beautiful surroundings / sights, this is the ideal location.

The Moulin has been tastefully & beautifully renovated & is well equipped....On the whole a lovely part of the world. Would and will recommend it.

What a memorable few days we have spent in this lovely peaceful place! The Windmill has been sympathetically restored and thoughtfully equipped. We could happily have stayed here much longer if time had permitted.

We have been blessed with the weather in this past week and therefore have been able to eat breakfast and dinner outside each day, maximising the use of the excellent BBQ........

The windmill is a truly fantastic place, the care and attention (and no doubt the expense) is plain to see.......We found it to be a wonderfully peaceful retreat and really has been a relaxing week....

Altogether, staying here has been an interesting experience and one which we have very much enjoyed. Batteries have been thoroughly recharged.

What an amazing windmill. I don't think we can add any more praise than has already been heaped on you in the previous pages, but we would like to anyway....it's fabulous, a brilliant, faithful restoration and beautifully, aptly furnished too...Love the bedroom lights!

Our windmill adventure started on the Friday evening with a long journey from Manchester...the heavy rain stopped for us on arrival at the windmill and a peaceful night was had. Despite the long drive, it was a magical place to find - the excitement kicked in whilst exploring each floor.

You can see the love, time and heartache (!) that has gone into renovating this lovely windmill, it's a really special little place. I am so pleased we came across it.....

Well, what can we say that hasn't already been stated? Great Moulin, great location, fantastic views. Peace, quiet, outdoor living. Sunshine on our shoulders, wind in our hair - we loved it!

2 weeks still isn't enough to see everything. Local farm very helpful - great eggs and lamb.

Only downside being sometimes wine and scrabble don't mix!!

On arrival we were overwhelmed by the Windmill and it's surroundings. We sat in the BBQ area and drank wine till 9.30pm....thought we had arrived in heaven. Everything about the Windmill is as everybody else says but if I can add, as a Chartered Surveyor, it is one of the most impressive and sympathetic restorations I have encountered.
